Reza Mafi says, “All the pieces featured in this collection echo a bloody epic. In memory of the martyrs who stepped on the path of freedom, I have used poems from past and modern Iranian poets, including those by Farrokhi Yazdi, Mirzadeh Eshghi, Khosrow Golsorkhi, Ahmad Shamlou, Esmail Khoi, and many other modern poets.
The new aspect of Mafi’s latest collection demonstrates the “freedom” poems by several Azerbaijani poets. His color palette in this series of works is intense, bright, and lively.
